Done an extensive field research covering 100 village panchayats in Tamil Nadu during the covid phase that iterated the importance of having elected local government representatives to manage and mitigate disasters in future.
Worked on a Decentralization manifesto along with other civil societies organisations and prepared a list of reforms that need to be made to empower local self-governments in Tamil Nadu.
Played a key role in the formation of a participatory democratic platform i.e., Area Sabhas for citizens living in Urban areas of Tamil Nadu in 2022 due to our continuous advocacy efforts with the Tamil Nadu state government along with other civil societies orgs- Voice of people, Thannatchi, Arappor Iyakkam.
A dedicated web portal has been created to know the state and central funds allocated to 12 thousand plus village panchayats. This has facilitated panchayats to prepare their village developmental plans.
Various Training and awareness programs have been organized and reached out to 1 Lakh + citizens to promote participatory democracy in Tamil Nadu through various themes.

Strengthening Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) 4. Strengthening Youth & women participation in Local Governance 5. Finance in Local Self-Governments
Undertook one of a kind research on India’s major employment scheme i.e., MGNREGS in Tamil nadu that exposed the gaps of people’s participation in preparing the Labor Budget and shared it with concerned department officials for the better implementation.
Introduced a fellowship program called Grassroots Democracy fellowship to establish a proof of concept for village panchayats to prepare a participatory development plan.
Our child friendly panchayat initiative called Bala sabha got its mention in the Tamil Nadu state policy for children and our work got featured as a case study in State institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj.
